Thunderwolves - Painting the Wolves

I made some more progress on my Thunderwolves and I started on the additional grey hunters.  

I got some drybrushing on each of the wolves, the base metal on the "cyber" parts of the wolves, bone on the claws and I got the initial coat of graveyard earth on the bases.





I pulled out the spray primer and put a coat of the Walmart Grey on these guys as well as a coat of soft body black wash.

    Those Thunderwolves are looking most excellent, so far! I am also digging the dynamic poses of the riders.

      Thanks! I've been rushing to finish them for this weekend, trying to have an 1850 to bring down to GW Alamo for their "secret" event, and get to actually use them.

      I have a huge army over 20 yrs of collecting, and due to your article, have finally started painting. Love the prime em grey and ink approach. Saved me tons of work, and the models come out great. Much obliged. :)

      All the credit should go to Ron at From the Warp, his tutorial that I followed makes it super easy. Adding a wash after a base coat on models like this is so easy and really effective. It's such a quick way to add shading and still look good, without having that "dipped" look.
